In 2006, Dave Laverty came for a visit to the US. While here, he spent a week with me, and we made a trip to the Grand Canyon. We shared beautiful views, good food, stunning sunsets, sleeping in the rain, acting crazy, and lots of hiking. All in all, a great time!! View Slideshow	We arrived on Tuesday evening and went to see the sunset. When we returned after dark to set up our tent, we found a family had taken our campsite. We went to the site they were supposed to be in, but it had started to rain. Living in Las Vegas where it has only rained three times since March, I hadn't even thought about rain. We got the tent setup and ate some sandwiches before we went to sleep. Above you see us on Wednesday night after enjoying some steaks.	Looking out from the watchtower. On Thursday before we drove back to Las Vegas, we went to see the watchtower near the east entrance.
Here you see us at the Flinstone Camp Ground on the way home.	After a long day of hiking on the South Kaibab Trail, we went to Hopi point to watch the sunset.	Dave and Brad say thumbs up for The Grand Canyon.
