On Friday, we went to get Saidou's passport in the hopes that he will be able to visit the US in the future. This was another several hour long process. Philippe, a friend of Cecile and a gendarme in Doula, helped us.
We met Essa who invited us to dinner at his house. His wife, Adidja prepared a delicious meal for us. Essa's brother Bouba was also there.
Later that evening, I went to get my hair cut by Victor. He was very nice and would not take any money from me. I also met his brothers Brad, Walson, and Frank. On the following night we went to "Spirit" with Victor.
We also invited Cecile and Philip along to thank them for their kindness.
The little boy below lives across from Saidou with his mom. She also fixed a meal for us one day.
