On Monday the 13th, Saidou was not feeling well, so we went to the clinic. This was another 4 hour experience. Here I met Dr. Achu. It turned out that Saidou had Malaria, so we got the medication he needed to take care of that.
After the trip to the clinic, we tried to call the embassy so Saidou could get an appointment to try and get a US visa. We were told to call later, and then we could not get through. We went back to the clinic for the test results, then got the medication, and home for a rest.
That night I sat with Philippe while Saidou rested. Later Ceceil cooked fish and rice for us - yum!
On Tuesday, we tried again for the embassy, but they told us to call the following day. We went to the market where I got 2 purple tops.
That evening we went to eat at Sister Rose's where we sat and enjoyed the evening. We sat in the little hut where we would be served talking and singing all the songs I remembered from my elementary school French classes. The food took about an hour to be cooked, and it was very nice. |

I was taking a photo of "Minister of Enjoyment" and one boy was yelling at me. Saidou said to the boy "Something wrong for your head" which means in pigeon "You are mad." |

| Earlier on Tuesday, we took a hike up to the Cathedral. There was a beautiful cemetery and outdoor chapel on the grounds. |
